Any dancer wishing to participate in recital will need a costume. Costumes are $75 and yours to keep after the show. What does the $75 costume fee cover? It covers measuring, selecting, sizing, compiling orders, shipping, managing of orders, managing of deliveries, inventory and unpacking, garment bag, hanger, tights, sorting and packaging of each classes costumes, the costume and it’s pieces, and the organization and distribution of the costumes to the dancers. Costumes are ordered in November. Any dancer who’s costume isn’t paid for by this time can not be guaranteed to receive their costume in time for picture week and/or recital. Any dancer joining after January may not be able to participate in recital depending on the ship dates of costumes.

Rehearsal is required for all dancers to practice their dance on stage in their costumes. Please have dancers arrive dressed in costume with hair and make up done. See the rehearsal schedule below for this years recital:

Preschoolers - 12:00-12:30 - Parents come in and stay with dancers. Dancers leave once their class has practiced on stage.

Mini Dancers - 12:00-1:30 - Parents drop their mini dancer off at 12:00. Mini dancers will run their dances and watch other dances. They will be dismissed at 1:30.

Mini/Junior, Intermediate, and Up - 12:00-3:00 - Parents drop their dancer off at 12:00. Dancers will run their dances and watch other dances. All dancers get dismissed at 3:00.

All dancers except Tuesday Dance Discovery and Wednesday Creative Movement return at 4:30 PM with costume on and hair and make up done. Teachers will escort them backstage. Tuesday Dance Discovery and Wednesday Creative Movement will arrive with their parents and watch the first half of the show in the auditorium. Show begins at 5:00 PM.

During intermission, Wednesday Dance Discovery, Thursday Dance Discovery, and Saturday Dance Discovery will be dismissed to sit with their parents for the second half of the show. Tuesday Dance Discovery and Wednesday Creative Movement will come backstage and get ready to perform.

All other dancers and any preschool dancers in multiple dances will remain backstage the entire show. Parents may not come get their children or see them during intermission as they will remain backstage and give the instructors time to swap out preschool classes. This is to protect all dancers, keep them safe, and allow the show to continue in a timely manner.

At the end of the show all dancers will come out for a final bow and awards. Any preschool dancers in the audience will be invited back up to the stage.
